Welcome to North Shore

An eclectic enclave with a storied history with an exciting future

The North Shore of Boston, situated between the city and New Hampshire along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, offers a fast-paced lifestyle with room to grow. Several communities, such as Reading and Salem, are rich in history, scenery, culture, and local pride. Commutes into central Boston are easy for locals. The Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority offers several easy ways to get around the state and greater New England region. The many beaches, harbors, islands, and seaside sites of the North Shore have served as backdrops in many notable Hollywood productions such as Shutter Island and Manchester by the Sea. Many creative works were inspired by the region, including several films and television shows about the Salem Witch Trials and The Perfect Storm. Today, architecture from the Federal Period stands proudly well into the 21st century, while today’s vibrant communities look forward to a bright future.

Life on the North Shore is picture-perfect. In addition to the close proximity to Boston, residents are close to several other charming New England towns. Each of these towns has its own unique history, friendly residents, and sites to visit. Manchester-by-the-Sea is one of these communities. Known for beautiful viewing points and scenic beaches, particularly Singing Beach, Manchester-by-the-Sea is the perfect place for a quick day trip North Shore residents can easily make. In the autumn, Salem is a particularly popular option for a day trip for its spooky history, seaside views, and amplified enthusiasm for All Hallow’s Eve.

The Causeway is a “bring your own bottle” establishment, allowing patrons to create their own dinner pairings.

In Essex, The Farm Bar and Grille is a family-run establishment featuring all-American pub fares like fish tacos, fajitas, wings, and cocktails inspired by childhood treats like Capri Sun, Rocks, and others. Their sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits only add to the fun.

Nearby in Hamilton, 15 Walnut Tavern is another relaxed option for signature cocktails and a wide array of old-fashioned favorites. Seared tuna, burgers, mussels, and shrimp cocktails are served in cozy digs by a friendly staff.
